La vieille vigne

In the glass

Riesling La vieille vigne — a name that carries weight on the Sûre slopes. These vines are about fifty years old, their yields are low, their wine intense. White peach and white flowers on the nose; a lively acidity with a long reach, and that mineral edge that hints at slate. Dry, precise, built to age. With sushi, monkfish, or a long conversation.

The terroir

The Riesling vines occupy a steep, south-facing slate slope on the Hoelt. Their roots probe rock that is a hundred million years old — and that is what gives the wine its mineral signature. Organic farming and permanent cover-cropping keep the soil alive — protecting nature through winegrowing.
